FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I pick up my box of food?

Food boxes may be picked up by car or truck only in the bus loop at Jacksonville High School. (1301 W Main St Jacksonville, AR 72076) Boxes will be placed in the trunk or truck bed to allow for social distancing. Please do not exit your vehicle. Those on foot, bicycles, motorcycles or scooters will not be able to receive boxes.

Will every car in line get a food box? If so, how many?

Boxes are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Can I come back through the line and get another ticket for a second box of food?

The goal of our Community Thanksgiving Meal is to serve as many families in our community as possible. For this reason, we are asking that you come thru the line only one time.

Do I have a choice as to what items go in my food box?

No, each box will be filled with all items. There will not be food items to chose from.

Can I pick up a box with riding my bicycle or motorcycle?

Boxes will only be distributed to cars or trucks.

Are you delivering any of the food boxes on November 20?

No, the food boxes can only be picked up thru the car drive thru. No deliveries will be made.

Will there be security on the parking lot the day of the event (November 20)?

Yes, Jacksonville Police officers will be available and visible on the parking lot.

Parking Lot Safety

Each car should follow the signs as they drive thru the pick-up line and follow the directions of the volunteer workers. Please no honking while waiting in line.

What if the weather is bad that day?

The Community Thanksgiving meal will occur on November 21, rain or shine!

What if I don’t have transportation?

Boxes will only be distributed to those driving cars or trucks. If you do not have transportation we suggest that you ask a friend to go through the line for you. We recognize that this is less than ideal. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to handle walk-ups, reservations, or delivery of boxes. This decision has been made in regards to social distancing guidelines as well as the safety of those in the line and volunteers.

When will I be able to get in the line for distribution?

Details coming soon.
