Boxes are available on a first come, first serve basis. We will only provide one box per vehicle. People must remain in their vehicles at all times. Those who arrive by foot or on a scooter, motorcycle or bicycle will NOT be served. See our FAQs below for more information.
For the last five years, One City Initiative’s goal has been to provide food for residents of Jacksonville during the Thanksgiving season. For the first three years, we provided a meal for more than 1,000 people through the Community Thanksgiving Meal. In 2019, we also distributed 300 meal bags. Last year, we focused primarily giving away 400 meal boxes during a drive thru event at the Jacksonville High School.
Our 2021 goal is 500 boxes. To make this happen, we need your help! We are looking for sponsors who will contribute financially to help offset the cost of the food boxes. In return for your monetary donation, we will include your company/organization in our promotional materials before and during the event. To support this year’s event, send your check to One City Initiative, 1117 N. James Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076.
